When we are in the school, we are frequently taught how to use the present simple or continuous, we are asked to remember very long and non-sense lists of words, etc. However, sometimes teacher forget to teach idiomatic expression, which are incredibly useful to interact with other people in everyday real situations.
With this section, A man may learn wit everyday, we will propose a series of idiomatic expression that you will be really useful for you if you really want to become an English speaker!
To begin this section we have chosen a commonly used idiom: TO BE UP IN THE CLOUDS.
1. Meanings
- To be physically present but your mind and thoughts are somewhere else.
- To be living in a fantasy (world).
3. Opposite expression: To have/keep your feet on the ground
