A man may learn wit everyday!

How is going, guys? Weekend is near and we are anxiously waiting for it. Sincerely, we need to have a rest. Are you ready to learn a new idiomatic expression? Today's choice is: TO TAKE SOMETHING WITH A GRAIN/PINCH OF SALT.

1. Meaning
  • To take something with grain of salt or a pinch of salt means not to take it too seriously or too literally.
  • To not completely believe something you are told, because you think it is unlikely to be true.
2. Examples

3. Note
Take something with a grain of salt is more common in American and Australian English, while take something with a pinch of salt is more common in British English.
